For the first time Pierangelo Andreani is called to design a sailboat, the largest of the Oceanis range!
This challenge is a new stimulus but also a big responsibility. I wanted to think about the comfort and ease of use for those who live on board. I always wondered why a sailor is denied certain comforts: going into the water without making contortions, winging the tender not being a bodybuilder, going ashore like a tightrope walker.
The design claims its part of originality, for this reason the sides of the hull are marked by a black band that hides the portholes and continues on the stern resulting a recognizable and characterizing motif. The wide deck and the low deckhouse offer excellent visibility for control in navigation.
The result is surprising, apart from various prizes won it is a great commercial success.
